HOW IS SKIN CAMOUFLAGE PERFORMED?

At Wink Ink Studio we use a special Nano color technique for a very light natural looking result.

A scar camouflage tattoo is a non-invasive procedure where a paramedical tattoo artist applies pigments to blend with the surrounding skin reducing the appearance of many types of scars and stretchmarks.

The natural-looking skin tones help restore confidence by disguising scars from surgeries, injuries, burns, and skin irregularities such as white sun spots and loss of pigment on toes.

Scar camouflage works to minimize the appearance of the scar by blending the skin tone, it does not remove the scarring or texture.  Inkless will help smooth a very textured scar before performing pigment.

Scar camouflage tattoos can last several years. The duration can vary depending on your skin tone, lifestyle, and the healing process.

As with any tattoo when in sun use 50 spf to prolong the life of your color.  Touchups vary from each situation but in general its between 2-5 years but some clients go much longer before a touchup is needed.

This client had an anchor lift that left her with a pinkish purple scar.  It was pretty smooth so we did skin camouflage and this is her result after 3 sessions spaced 8 weeks apart.

This client had a face lift scar that bothered her and she couldnt wear her hair up until now.  This photo was after one session,  we did one more session to fine tune skin variations.

This client had a very dark tummy tuck 360 scar.  This is after 3 sessions she is still healing and that is why it is in the peeling stage.  We plan on 2 more sessions to be complete.

Stretchmarks after one session.  Always plan on two sessions for this technique.

Colors and pigments are adjusted and layered each session and the average treatment consists of two to three sessions. There are little to no side-effects associated with scar camouflage and general skin reactions and symptoms associated with traditional tattoos and permanent make-up and cosmetics are minor.

Of all the possible treatments available for scars and stretch marks, our powerful combination of Microneedling, Light Therapy and natural permanent pigment for stretchmarks and scar camouflage often is the most successful. It requires only a brief recovery period while still providing powerful results. Our scar and stretch mark removal is designed to suit virtually every skin type and every type of stretch mark. This treatment can improve the overall appearance and elasticity of the skin, using short pulses of tiny needles and light to penetrate the sub-dermal layer.

The step-by-step process our artists take to transform scars into seamless works of art are as follows:

  • Consultation: Discuss goals, examine the scar, and determine the best approach.

  • Sessions: The number of sessions required is typically 2-3. Your artists will assess the treatment plan during the consultation.

  • Color matching: Select pigments closely matching your natural skin tone.

  • Numbing: Apply numbing cream to reduce pain or discomfort.

  • Tattoo application: Our skilled artists use specialized techniques to apply pigments, blending with the surrounding skin.

  • Layering and shading: Gradually build up the tattoo, replicating the texture and depth of the skin.

  • Healing: Follow aftercare instructions and allow the tattoo to heal.
